Rossburn RM Council Sets Arbitration and Road Bond Plans
Rural Municipality of Rossburn held its August meeting with Reeve Ed Shust and most councillors present. Terence Fowler was named arbitrator for land transfers to school districts. A local contractor offered to build 2 miles of road at his cost, repayable over ten years from Ward I funds. Bonds were converted to 14 year issuance at 4 percent. One Old Age Assistance case was approved and bills were paid. Council adjourned to September 6.

Rossburn approves school teacherage bid for 8991
At the Rossburn School Board meeting four tenders were received for the new teacherage. Harry Komhyr submitted the successful bid at 8991 for a complete job with exterior and interior painting and built in cupboards. Construction will start soon and wrap up by September end.
