Manitoba's Consumers' Bureau handled over 47 000 telephone requests for information in 1985 86 and delivered 158 consumer information presentations to more than 7 800 Manitobans. The bureau processed 2 351 registered complaints, with home improvement cases comprising 20 percent and payouts exceeding 38 000 to consumers from penal bonds of seven home improvement firms.

Festival kick-off crowns Rodeo Queen at Parkland Harvest
