Gully Stabilization Field Day Planned Near Rapid City
A Gully Stabilization Field Day is set for August 7 at Gordon Finlay's farm, 1.5 miles north of Rapid City. T Merv CG McKay will supervise with a municipal grader and tillage tools to stabilize a three-eighths mile long gully. W I R Johnson notes the gully is six feet deep and six feet wide, with rye nurse crop and a shotgun mix of grasses and legumes. A second Field Day, in late August at Bert Richmond River farm, is being organized with Bert Graham the contact.
