Brandon General Hospital tightens adult medical surgical ward visiting hours effective May 1 to reduce disruption and aid care. New hours 2 4 PM and 7 8 PM in wards 200E 300 400 500E. maternity nursery and other areas maintain varied schedules with two visitors maximum and special exceptions as needed.
The Knights of Columbus donate 1000 to the Flaman family of Rossburn to cover costs for Lisa Flaman's third heart operation. Lisa and Betty travel June 14 to Toronto General Hospital for surgery by Dr. William Williams. Additional gifts came from the Lions Club and Birdtail W.I. Ladies of Rossburn.
At Rossburn Elementary School on April 19, forty eight students formed eight groups in a three hour jump rope fundraiser coordinated by Bob Lonsberry. The event benefits the Manitoba Heart Foundation with ten percent staying at the school and an expected thousand dollars raised to aid in the fight against heart disease and stroke.
