Provincial budget cuts hit dental nurses in Manitoba program
The provincial budget triggers mass layoff of Manitoba Children's Dental Program staff including Myra Gregory and Donna Duggan from Hamiota. With 44 of 49 full time positions cut, only five remain to provide limited services while 788 students in Birdtail River School Division face loss of restorative care. the program started in 1976 and has served thousands.
