Deep regret filled the district as William George Williamson 83 died after injuries at his Rossburn farm. He and wife Katie lived on the farm since 1892 after moving from Brandon. Survived by two sons Wesley and Everett and five grandchildren. funeral held April 14 at Rossburn United Church.

Mr Steve Woycheshin rode to Winnipeg on Sunday. Les Reynolds of Winnipeg spent the weekend with Mr and Mrs W J Hamilton. The community offers sympathy to the relatives of the late Mr Williamson. A play in Rossburn drew many local attendees last Tuesday night. Frank Sawchuk bought property from Paul Zemliak who in turn purchased land from R J Alexander. Mr and Mrs Dick Butler of Selsgirth visited Mrs Butler’s mother Mrs David MacDonald on Saturday. Miss Marlene Hamilton of Ogilvie spent the weekend at home. She and sisters Valetta and Velma drove to McNutt to visit Allan and Mrs Smith. District residents motor to Brandon last week: Harvey Hamilton and Viola, Jack Miller and Eileen, Lorne Hrysak, Mrs Steve Woytowich and Mike Mackedenski.

Plans for the 1951 census are under way with census commissioner officers in all constituencies. W T Wherrett of Shoal Lake is commissioner for Marquette and has set up an office in Findlay Block to organize districts. On June 1 over seventy five enumerators will begin census taking in Marquette.
