Rossburn Council weighs road upgrades and hall costs

The Rossburn Village Council met March 12 and 16 approving minutes, setting a $120 monthly rental for the New Community Centre, and authorizing a $300 payment for kitchen cupboards. They discussed upgrading P R No 254 road, main street paving, and park facilities, plus legal aid access and new lighting for Parkview subdivision.

Paving for No 1 on Trans Canada between Kemnay and Alexander

Highways minister Don Orchard announces the start of a June 1 paving project on a 10.4 mile four lane section of the Trans Canada Highway between Kemnay and Alexander west of Brandon. Northeastern Construction Ltd. will carry out the work at 1,747,005 dollars and finish this fall.
