The Ukrainian Women's Association of the Greek Orthodox Church of Rossburn held a tea sale of home baking Easter eggs and flowers. Five thousand and fifty five dollars were realized. Marion Tanasychuk of Birdtail won the raffle doll. Appreciation was extended to attendees and helpers.
Final statistics from the North Central League list top ten scorers including Graham Shaw Cardale Elgin Knight and Bob Bell of Decker. Minnedosa defeated Shoal Lake and Rossburn to reach the final, then beat Cardale 7 4 on home ice to claim the Beaver Lumber Co Trophy. Team members include manager Jesse Sterdiven coach Walt Jacobson and players Ron Dyer Barry Beddome Ian Kingdon Brian Ross and Doug Templeton among others.

Nichola M. Lesiuk died at Birtle Hospital on March 2 at age 76 years 10 months after a brief illness. Born in 1882 in Western Ukraine he emigrated to Canada in 1905 homesteaded near Glenella then Basswood before settling Kelloe district in 1949. Survived by 2 sons Elmer and Peter and 6 daughters with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services were held March 24 at the Greek Orthodox church in Rossburn with pallbearers listed and interment in the church cemetery.
The C.G.I.T. held its 23rd meeting with 12 members and four visitors. Penny McKnight chaired as vice president. Plans were made for a Mother and Daughter Banquet near the end of April to close the year. Jean Andrew and Marlene Crookshanks led worship. Psalm 121 was used. A poem was read and the hymn Oh Master Let Me Walk With Thee sung. The evening featured April themed games and a light lunch. Taps closed the hour.

Tuesday's election in five wards produced clear leads for Senko and Gerelus in multiple districts. Keay won Ward 1 with 202 votes, Burnett led Ward 3 with 251, Senko narrowly beat Pritchard 188-181 in Ward 4, Gerelus led Ward 6 despite mixed totals, and Rochelle defeated Polos 330-87 in Ward 7. Final tallies awaited updates.
A son was born to Mr and Mrs Joe Danyliuk of Rossburn at Rossburn Hospital on March 25.
The Student Council lists grade standings for 12 through 2b with first to third places named by teacher. They plan to order rings or crests for interested students, awaiting a catalogue and final design decisions.
Rossburn residents hosted relatives and friends over the Easter weekend across several households. Visitors included families from Sandy Lake Winnipeg NeePawa Selkirk Pilot Mound and Oak River with numerous local hosts sharing time in Winnipeg Brandon Harrowby and Harrowby area.
