Farm Financing Seminar Well Attended
About 80 farmers, wives and dealers attended a Farm Financing Seminar at the Rossburn Town Hall on Tuesday afternoon March 23. Sponsors were the Toronto-Dominion Bank Rossburn branch. C. E. Baskier TD agricultural services manager outlined financing for farming operations including FarmPac Canchek and live stock loans. TD marketing official Jack Hayes spoke on TD services such as Tordam CDs Retirement Savings and Home Ownership plans. Several draws were made by local Rossburn dealers. Lunch and refreshments were served.

Also Monday AA meetings at Rossburn Elementary School and a jackpot bingo on April 7 at 8 pm with $190 and $150 prizes. A ham radio event April 9 at 8 pm and a spring fashion show April 10 at 2 pm with bingo benefiting Ukr Greek Orthodox Church. Birtle Presbytery Holds Training Event in Rossburn
Twenty seven lay-people and ministers registered for a two day training event at Knox United Church in Rossburn with representations from Russell Inislis Binscarth Foxwarren Miniota Kenton Shoal Lake Strathclair Oak River and Rossburn. Leaders included Rev. John Shoan Rev. Ivan Smith Rev. Bob Burton Mr Walter Dueck and Rev. Brian Penny. Meals were provided by U C W Ladies and hosts housed guests overnight. The workshop aims to deepen faith discussion and give churches practical outreach training with plans for a follow up event.
