Ottawa Dairy Butter Marking Notice Issued
The Dairy Commissioner of Ottawa warns makers to clearly mark dairy butter as such. Regulations require parchment wrappers to bear Dairy butter in legible letters when blocks prints or squares are formed. The rule, in force since September 1, applies to standard weights and allows additional wording but not misleading terms. Potential buyers are urged to observe proper labeling practices and contact the Agriculture department for guidance.
