The Rosetown Town Council met Monday evening April mth with Mayor Hulmes and councillors Heartwell Smith and Wright presiding. The auditor's quarterly report was referred to Finance, and payments to several officials and contractors were approved before adjournment.
Jas Hamilton of Saskatoon aided sowing his land and owns three quarters. Mrs Kerr was ill with quinsy but recovering. Jack Ireland narrowly escaped injury after a wagon incident on the creek hill when the reach bolt failed and the wagon grazed his shoulder and arm. The Camberley correspondent remains a matter of questioning but is deemed all right.
The annual vestry meeting at St Andrews Vicarage last Sunday elected officers for the year including P Murphy KE Roycroft Bert Hayes Ralph Seagreaves W W Smith Fred Staples Mike Resay and H H B Ball. The organist H Ball received a present for his services and thanks were given to Murphy Roycroft and the Ladies Guild for their work.
A W W M Claes of the Union Sunday School staged an entertainment Wednesday evening to aid the Red Cross Fund. The program included a chairman's address, readings, songs, dialogues, a two act play The Wreck of Biedman's Bride, and a large audience contributed to the Red Cross fund. W A Goodwin spent the weekend in Saskatoon. The village football club elected officers and postponed captain selection. Clean Up day is scheduled for Thursday the 22nd.
The board met in the town hall April 6 with C K Conlin presiding and Murphy Powers present. The minutes of the last meeting and the matron’s report were read and adopted as read. The minutes include the motion that the following accounts be paid.
