Roseburg Rail Center Employs Vast Local Locomotive Force
Roseburg serves as a major railroad center with over 450 railroad workers. Forty train crews coast at least three to four men per crew, plus fifty two‑man engine crews. Thirty‑six engines shuttle between Ashland and Junction, hauling coal and wood daily.
