Fire Demon Reaches Main Street Home Fire
About half past one o clock Saturday morning the fire bell and trains aroused the city. The blaze destroyed W F McDaniels home on Main Street while neighbors saved adjacent houses. McDaniels, a carpenter, slept inside but escaped through a window with only dishes and a bed left. The house, not yet finished, was insured for 1000 dollars with Aetna Hartford.
