Lost Bracelet Found Near St James Area
Lost between St James and the low Works a gold bracelet with a hair or picture setting. Finder rewarded by leaving it with A Leathers, St James. Ice cream advertised at Julius Koch’s corner Sixth and Main. Last Saturday a man named W J McGuire was fatally shot five times by M J Freeman at Kelse. Coroner’s inquest returned justifiable homicide. McGuire, a half breed Choctaw Indian and local troublemaker, threatened Dr Hutcheson, prompting a shotgun confrontation. Freeman shot him in self defense after McGuire assaulted Freeman and damaged property. McGuire arrived with a young girl he claimed was his daughter. she showed no remorse at his death.
