Comet observations from Cambridge note Earth approach
Mr G P Bond of Cambridge University reports in June 1860 that the comet was observed on the 21st 22nd 24th and 25th. Elements from 21st 24th 25th suggest the comet is approaching the earth though bright moonlight and its low position limit naked eye view. In telescope the object resembles the 1858 comet with a two branch tail and a dark nucleus axis disturbance. A drawing is being made for comparison with 1858.
