Twenty one month old Jean Savery, daughter of E A and Mrs Savery of Guthrie Center, won third place in the baby contest at the Guthrie County fair. Bruce Fisher was injured at school last week when struck on the head by a ball bat requiring three stitches. Paul Ferguson, beekeeper, shipped 100 cases of honey to California this week. Garfield Go-Getters met on September 23 with guests Sally Thompson, Shirley Fisher, and Wilda Kilbourn visiting from Des Moines Merry Mixers.
