W S C S Guest Day and Local Club Notes at Bradgate Church
The Bradgate W S C S met for guest day at the church with Mrs Walter Turley in charge of the business meeting and Mrs Buckwalter leading devotions. A varied program featured songs, solos, readings, and a talk on a Morida trip. Dwayne Benge was rushed to Lutheran hospital for appendix removal and is recovering well. The Lutheran Ladies Aid planned a potluck, bazaar, and a clothing drive for the Danish Relief committee. The Rebekah lodge held a Thursday meeting with a mixed program of solos, piano pieces, and a reading, followed by lunch.

About 30 Powhatan township ladies organized Farm Bureau women led by chairman Harley McLain with Julia Falinson present. Doris McKim and Verlae Ferguson demonstrated 4 H. A tea social capped the afternoon.
