Pocahontas County Board approves drainage and notices in 1918

The Pocahontas County Board of Supervisors met on September 3 1918 with all members present to approve the drainage improvement petition by Olson and the engineer report and to instruct publication of notices. They directed the auditor to notify L M Rude to commence completion of contract on D D No 14 and to have Carey-Kelleher Ditch Co fill the upper end of D D No 21 and build a bulkhead. Hearings on assessments for D D No 89 and consent No 1 were continued to December 3 1918 and September 29 1918 respectively. The auditor was instructed to move May Haven and Jarvis Gates to the County Home, and numerous county claims and salaries were approved.
