Rolfe FFA Executives Visit Spirit Lake and Iowa State Fair
Rolfe FFA executives led by Mr. Schumacher spent three days at Spirit Lake working on the Program of Activities with trips to Arnolds Park. August 26 saw Dave Rutgers Jeff Carlton Eric Vaughn and Jim Shimon competing in Iowa State Fair livestock judging with Vaughn earning the top team score while Schumacher accompanied the group. DeWall Elected Chairman of Pocahontas County Land Panel
Byron DeWall from Pocahontas and Cecil Morgan of Fonda were chosen as chair and vice chair of the Pocahontas County Temporary Land Preservation Policy Commission at a recent organization meeting in Pocahontas. The county convention elected DeWall Morgan and Ralph Christiansen of Fonda as the three town representatives joining the panel.

Annual wool contest highlights entries and prizes
The Make It Yourself With Wool contest in Spencer Iowa invites all citizens to enter by November 5. Pre teens, juniors, seniors and adults compete in district and state levels with grand Hawaii vacations for top overall winners. Judging covers fabric coordination, poise, garment suitability, and sewing skills with 70 percent wool fabrics.

Breath of Life Campaign Underway for Cystic Fibrosis
