Plover, Iowa area notes recount visits among the Johnson, Shriner, Speer and Ert family circles around Havelock Rolfe and Pomeroy. Attendees join church duties, attend political events in Sioux City and Des Moines, and celebrate birthdays and harvests with neighbors and relatives.
The Rally Day program for the Plover Presbyterian Sunday school takes place on Sunday October 9 at 11 30 am. The event features songs scripture readings prayers welcomes recitations young people exercises and a sermon for children by Rev Walter Rothwell concluding with benediction.
Sunday School and morning worship announced by Plover Presbyterian Church led by Pastor Rev Walter Rothwell. Willing Workers meet Thursday Oct 6 with Mrs Henry Fitzgerald and Mrs W J Johnson as hostesses. Rally Day exercises at 11 30 am plus special offering for Board of Christian Education. Bible study session on Matthew begins Wednesday 8 00 p m with no tuition or collections. Rally Day practice set for Saturday Oct 8 at 2 30 pm.

Esther Isabelle Severson born March 11 1885 near Buckingham Illinois died September 30 1932 at her Plover Iowa home aged forty seven years six months and nineteen days after a brief illness. She married Dr G A Everson June 29 1910 and they had four children Fulwood Everett Ramona Esther Iiene and Gladys Lucile. Funeral services were conducted at the Plover Methodist church with Rev J O Wangberg, Rev H A Reyman and Rev Walter Rothwell officiating. A large out of town attendance and many floral remembrances marked the service.
A lively Havelock week features a charivari for Mr Miller and his wife in Cincinnati announced after the couple returned home. Numerous visits and gatherings mark social life as families host relatives and friends from Laurens Pocahontas Rolfe and Sioux Rapids.

Mrs Wesley Campbell and Mrs Nettie Campbell visited Rolfe from up Mallard way. The Birthday Club plans a benefit library tea at Mrs I McKim’s Friday afternoon. Mrs Mary Harris of Milwaukee visited the Lee Fisher home and all drove to Bradgate to visit relatives. Ruth Fisher of Rolfe visited Lee Fisher’s family. Sila fillers were entertained at John Fisher’s Thursday with Ila Fisher and Mildred Jensvold assisting from Havelock. Earl Kilbourne Ben Perdue and Wallace Bruner attended an American Legion meeting in West Bend Monday evening.

Sunday School at 10:00 a.m. Morning Worship at 11:00 a.m. Junior League at 11:00 a.m. Epworth League at 7:00 p.m. Evening Worship at 7:00 p.m. Mid-Week Services include Choir Rehearsal Thursday at 8:00 p.m. All services follow the listed times unless announced otherwise. Community invited to attend and consider the church home.
