Third grade students explore papier mache masks for Halloween and soon plan new painting projects. Fourth graders sew clothes for Pilgrim and Indian dolls and build a Plymouth Rock village with cabins and teepees. A bulletin board and bird unit wrap up with positive notes. English hobbies talks and a health unit booklet on foods shape recent activities. Hot lunches listed for October 31 to November 3 with a teachers' convention closing Friday.
Mrs. Glenn Nelson and relatives attended a Judy Hansen shower at the Forest Slaskey home in Eagle Grove. Judy, a Nelson and Hansen relation, will wed Keith Day soon. Numerous church group activities, fellowships, and visits across local families are listed along with care updates and UNICEF sponsorship by the W.S.C.S.

The Lutheran Ladies Aid met at the church with Mrs. Fannie Schluter and Mrs. Gladys Nelson hostesses Rev. Lund led devotions and Mrs. Harry Jensen presided the treasurer reported chicken supper receipts over 405 dollars and a post sale. Friday lunch at Lutheran Hospital Fort Dodge was hosted by several members and a Fort Dodge area Lutheran church delegation attended the auxiliary meeting. Deann Dean Gerald and Dick Hoag visited with grandmother Mrs. Glenn Nelson before returning home Saturday evening.
Mrs Dean Hoag attended the constituting Convention of the American Lutheran Church Women of the Fort Dodge Conference held at Humboldt Saturday. Bradgate Progress Club gathered with hostesses Mrs Fred Benjamin and Mrs Karen Day. Guest speaker Mrs Roberts of Gilmore City spoke on Hawaii travels. Fifteen members answered roll call on flag etiquette.
Saturday evening Mr and Mrs Fred Benjamin were supper guests in the Darrell Jones home near Otitosen for Debra Jones fifth birthday. Mr and Mrs Henry Olson were guests Sunday in the Arlen Ericson home in Rolland. Mr and Mrs Morris Fuller and Diane spent Sunday with Mrs Fuller's mother Mrs J Petersen of Stratford. Mr and Mrs Hans Isacson were dinner guests in the Rogen Isacson home in Humboldt Sunday, then visited Clayton Hansen and Alfred Klingson in Callender.
