Anna McIntire celebrated her 75th birthday with an open house on Saturday October 16. Over 100 guests from Pomeroy West Bend Rock Rapids Albert City Gilmore City Pocahontas Curlew Forest City Charles City Rolfe and Omaha Nebraska attended. Her grandchildren led the reception with a decorated cake and flowers.

United Methodist Women of Rolfe held their regular monthly meeting October 13 at 2:00 in church parlors. President Mrs Don Spencer led the business portion. A Sub Group 4 lunch featured a salad bar. Two films Global Missions and Mission of Christian Presence were shown with Mrs Ray Smith giving scripture explanations. Music was provided by Mrs N A Wilson at the piano.

Bennie Hilton was released Thursday from the Pocahontas hospital. Chet Hapsen was admitted to the Pocahontas hospital after a heart attack at his home Friday morning.
