Impressions From Munich 1972 Olympics
A personal recollection of attending the Munich games noting seeing Mark Spitz Rosenthal and Rod Milburn in action from afar. The writer recalls the flag incident two black American sprinters hugging after the 409 meter dash and the pro Soviet feel at Olga Korbutt’s gymnastics routine. A USA vs Russia basketball game is described as messy with a call for rule changes and unfinished thoughts for next week.
