Pocahontas Fire Department Backs Fires With Quick Rescue
The Pocahontas fire department answered two farm fire calls last week and extinguished both before major damage. One fire involved the Lee Stover farm south of Pocahontas on a corn crib roof. the other at the C. E. Lindeman farm north of town started by a tractor backfire during a soybean harvest. Social visits followed, with relatives Mrs. J H Walters and William Mackovets among those stopping by from Omaha and Rolfe.
