St Margaret Rosary Society Hosts Cancer Film Night
St Margaret's Rosary Society met October 6 after Mass, opening with a Living Rosary and candle lighting. Frances Johnson of Pocahontas showed two Cancer films. attendees included Mrs Gladys Bouma and local Cancer Chairman Lois Rickard. October committee served refreshments. Justamere Club met for dessert lunch and Contract Bridge with new members Allen Van Houten and Don Spencer. prizes went to Mrs Ranney high, Mrs Spencer second, Alma Ogden low, Lynch Robinson played guitar.

American Legion Auxiliary Met With 14 Members Present
The American Legion Auxiliary met October 11 at Mrs. M W Webb's home with hostesses Mrs. Dale Buck and Mrs. Howard Sandy. Fourteen members attended and obligations were met. Dues total 43 paid to date. A short program was given by Mrs. Grace Kelchner and Mrs. Rolland Mann. At September meeting 20 members and four guests were present. gifts were given to Gold Star Mothers Mrs. Jennie Johnson, Mrs. Grace Kelchner, and Mrs. Thora Pedersen.

Senior Citizens Club Plans Pie Coffee Sale Bazaar
The Senior Citizens Club met with 18 members, enjoyed cards and lunch, and scheduled a pie and coffee service at the center on Saturday the 23rd and a Bazaar and Bake Sale at the Legion Hall on Saturday, November 20. Tuesday Club opened its season with a luncheon at Mrs. Zola Brinkman’s home on September 21, with Mesdanaes Wm Fisher Greg Kaiser Lawrence Henderson and Virgil Ricklefs assisting hostesses. Mrs. George Beckord led the program Fun With Music and introduced John Beckord.
