Roy Auten and Miss Lillian Smith were married at Pocahontas on Friday October 5 1984. Mrs Auten is the youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs Jake Smith and grew to womanhood in the Havelock community.

Public Library Board Forms New Organization

The Public Library announces its board of directors Dr K P Hunter and five others with Mrs Day Mrs Boysen Mrs Howard Mrs Nystein and Mrs Randolph. Donations of books and cash received and the library will soon open. Exact date to be announced later.

Legion Auxiliary Meeting Plans Bake Sale and Dues

The local American Legion Auxiliary met at Mrs. Will Smiths home with many members present. A bake sale is planned for Batter shell grocery on Saturday October 13 and members should donate. The next meeting is set for October 18 at Mrs Smiths home. Members should pay dues and bring pledged jellies. Committee appointments were made for Membership Kate Williams and Mary Waters, Junior Activities Goldie Ralle, Poppy Orpha Hilton, Publicity Pearl Mick.
