The government states there is no quota or time limit for Defense Savings Bonds. The program is a continuing effort and purchases should be steady. Retailers volunteered to sell Defense Savings Stamps on a large scale, with stamps also sold at post offices banks and savings and loan associations.

Party honoring teachers at Methodist church social
The faculties of Rolfe and Des Moines Township schools and country school teachers in the vicinity will be guests of honor at a social evening in the Methodist church on Thursday evening October 9. The program begins at 3 o'clock, followed by a social hour and refreshments. All church members and friends are invited.
