The class completed a Shelter poster using home materials. An apple tree display holds weekly grade apples, with Thelma Jolliffe's apple on top this week. The room also features two goldfish Whitey and Goldenlocks and two baby turtles Timmy and Tommy.

Chas Sroufe of Rolfe sought signers for a petition to nominate C G James of Pocahontas on the independent ticket for representative. The Goodchilds and family visited J B Grove, helped with wood, and again visited Will Goodchild. Elmer Sandy attended the Havelock opening dance. J G and George Obrecht shelled corn northwest of Havelock on A P Truelsen land. Kenneth Pirie spent weekend in Roland. Two miles of road east to Primary No 17 around D O Hartsock corner were graveled by W B Linnan and crew using gravel from a north Havelock pit. John Brazier spread the gravel. Mr and Mrs John Sandy and Earl attended the Clay County Fair at Spencer and stayed for the public wedding that evening. Jack Ersland and Lucile Weinhold attended the Spencer fair.

Jolliffe Alvin Riches and other students worked on an Indian project making wigwams and learning signs. Beverly Grant was absent ill. Third Grade pupils earned perfect spelling papers and drew pictures of Hiawatha’s home. Fifth Grade studied Primary School in Brittany and began fractions. Junior High notes cover oral themes, book lists, and Civil War booklets, with a kittenball game ending in a 2 point victory.
