Notice to Dog Owners Raises 1920 License Fees
The license fee for dogs increases from 1 to 3 dollars for males and from 3 to 5 dollars for females due to many dog or wolf damage claims. Car plunges into drainage basin on Rural Primary No 16
Oscar Nyssender of Laurens and W M Oldfield of Havelock drove Oldfield's light coupe into a brick walled drainage catch basin along Primary No 16 south of Dakota City at 5:30 am Sunday. The car was badly damaged and both men were bruised but not seriously hurt. Oldfield, blinded by oncoming lights, misjudged position and drove into the ditch then into the basin. Wreckers freed the car after a difficult removal.
