P A E Club Thanksgiving Meet Hosts and Upcoming Plan

The P A E Club met November 21 at Mrs. Robert Wiegert home with two guests. Thanksgiving lunch was served. Mrs. Florence Beneke will host December 5. United Methodist circles held November 19 with Ruth Esther Naomi Mary Circles meeting at various homes church lessons worship and specials attended by 13 to 16 members plus guests. Sorosis Tuesday Club Bridgetettes and Tuesday Bridge notes included book review and arrangements demos and prize winners.

Mrs. Anna Weichang remains a medical patient at Mercy Hospital Fort Dodge after admission Sunday. Miss Olive Ryen transferred Monday from Palo Alto Memorial to Fairmont Community Hospital Fairmont Minnesota. Daniel White infant son of Mr and Mrs Leonard White moved Friday by ambulance from Mercy Fort Dodge to University Hospital Iowa City ICU. Baby born November 9 in incubator with heart condition. Mrs Dorothy Schott discharged Saturday from Pocahontas Community Hospital.

10th District President Attends VFW Auxiliary Meeting

The VFW Auxiliary met at the Iowa Electric Light and Power recreation room on November 19 with Joyce Eikenberry presiding. Thirteen members and one guest attended as inspector Rose Cronk, 10th District President from Armstrong, was present. Members were asked to remember veterans and shut-ins at Christmas. Donations included $1 to the department for a 50 Star Flag and $5 to Camp Sunnyside for life jackets and sleeping bags. The December 16 potluck at 6:30 p.m. will feature a $1 gift exchange and a drive for Pop Tops Rings for Veterans Hospital plus coffee coupons. Betty Pedersen and Thora Pedersen served refreshments. Donna Smith, Bonita Kipfer, Ilene Rude, and Rose Calligan will handle coffee, rolls, and dessert.
