St. Margaret's parish hall hosted a Rosary Society gathering on November 6 after Mass. Msgr. Reising led prayer. four St. Joe ladies showed a Pro-Life film followed by discussion. Christine Miller won the plate prize. Christmas luncheon set for December 9 at Artha Jo Majorowicz’s home.
Community events listed include a bridal shower for Deb Guerttman on November 19 at 7 30 p m in the library basement and meetings of the American Home Study Club on November 15 at Leona Wilsons home, Pocahontas auxiliary on November 18 at 2 00 p m in Rolfe Legion Hall with 8th District President Mrs Wel don Swedlund as guest, and the V F W auxiliary on November 20 at 8 00 p m at the Legion Hall. A Social Security representative will be at the Pocahontas Courthouse November 19 from 10 00 a m to 12 30 p m. Sunday worship was led by Rev Olson with Mrs Dorothy Gaskill at piano and Mrs Melvin Thorson on violin. attendees included Mrs Joe Johnson and others. Residents enjoyed a sing along Wednesday morning with Mrs Edwin Grove and Mrs R D Dixon. New resident Mrs Mary Kopriva from Pocahontas. Out of town visitors listed include Elmer Ducoumm on Laurens Arlys Dodd Mr and Mrs Le Roy Halligan and family Gilmore City Mrs Don Heller Spencer Mr and Mrs Art Sanders Alberta Andrew and Lori Simpson Fort Dodge Mrs Leone Kauffman Emmetsburg.
Mrs. Joe Accurso is a patient at Methodist Hospital in Rochester Minnesota admitted November 3 with room 5 205 B. Mrs Esther Bertrem was released Sunday from Pocahontas Hospital.
