Child Scalded In Kitchen Accident At Home
The three year old child of Mr and Mrs Walter Cook pulled a coffee pot onto itself yesterday noon and received severe scalds from chin to abdomen. The burns are painful but the child is expected to recover. Miss Maud Goodmiller has returned from Fort Sam Houston Texas where she aided Byron G Boos who is now showing signs of a satisfactory recovery. Linotype operator Harriss Thomas came down with the flu Wednesday and is hoped to have a light course and quick recovery.

A patriotic program will be held in Rolfe High School Auditorium on Friday November 22 at 8:00 PM assuming quarantine status. Major R H Hendershot of Oak Park Indiana and son are the entertainers with Hendershot billed as the original drummer boy of the Rappahannock. He served four years in the Union Army starting at age eleven. The program includes martial music and home talent numbers with all Civil War veterans in the community as guests. Reserved seats go on sale at Nacke's on Tuesday November 19.
