Funeral services were held Sunday at the Gilmore City Methodist church for Mrs. Walter Hammersley who died after an auto accident. Rev. W. S. Handy officiated with Rev. J. S. Shroder assisting. She was sister to Mrs. Emma Day and aunt of Mrs. Flossie DeVaul of Rolfe. Survived by husband Walter, son Harry, sister Mrs. Day, and brother Arthur Cornwell of New Haven Conn. A Pocahontas County resident for over 36 years.
Rev W H Lease outlines education week with school visits and parish activities. Weekly church advance, youth leagues, and farm bureau harvest observance are planned with daily themed nights and 7:30 evening services.

Eli Cupp and wife welcomed son Stanley Lewis born November 5. Janice Feaster and Gordon Laning marriage announced from Mallard October 14. Mrs. Art Olson hosted Friday night club. Herbert Coffin lost a hand in a corn picker accident last week. Mrs. Elsie Cramer dies in Winnipeg at 85. formerly Bradgate area resident until 1900.
Charlie Spear died of a heart attack Saturday while repairing at the Will Laning farm. Services were held Tuesday at the Methodist church with burial in Clinton Garfield Cemetery at Rolfe. He was in apparent good health, and his death came as a community shock.
The Presbyterian Endeavor group led by Hauck Struthers with Jeanette Sinnir hosts a gathering on Building Together. Evening service at 7:80. Members and church heads invited. Woman's Missionary Society meets Wednesday November 16 at Mrs Jess Grant's home.
