Pickets Halt Gibson Trucks Route to Sioux City
Several Gibson transfer line trucks carrying over 600 cans of cream left Havelock to run routes into Sioux City but were stopped three miles west of town by Farm Holiday pickets and ordered back. The cream reportedly moved by box car with the morning Flyer and then reached its destination.

Farmers Elevator Robbery Yeges Strike Sioux County
Robbers forced entry into the Farmers Elevator office on a weekend night or morning and blew the safe door. They took about $19 in cash before sheriff Hubert Kapsch, who investigated, found no clues. Some suspect the same gang was also involved in the Mallard area Gweupel farm hold up Saturday.

Water tower contract awarded for Havelock project
The Pittsburgh-Des Moines Steel Company won the bid of 5 630 dollars to erect a 100 foot steel water tower with a 30 000 gallon tank and 15 000 gallon capacity mains riser. Local men will be employed and work should finish in 20 to 25 days with Ralph Gearhart as engineer in charge and Sig Carlson sub contracting cement work.
