W E Priebe cautions poultry raisers against selling immature turkeys and poor quality birds. He urges selling only ripe turkeys weighing 14 pounds for toms and eight pounds for hens, to protect Thanksgiving and Christmas markets and allow three weeks for delivery to city butchers.
Mrs Jas Anderson and the Rolfe twins visit here Monday. Mrs Walter Saathoff and family travel from Gilmore City for a visit with Mr and Mrs Wm Gist, who hold a closing out sale as Mr Gist’s health declines. Local residents and visitors populate the week with trips to Pocahontas Peterson Cherokee and Garner. The junior class to present Why Shouldnt I at the high school auditorium on Friday Nov 10.
Several Gibson transfer line trucks carrying over 600 cans of cream left Havelock to run routes into Sioux City but were stopped three miles west of town by Farm Holiday pickets and ordered back. The cream reportedly moved by box car with the morning Flyer and then reached its destination.

Local men will be employed and work should finish in 20 to 25 days with Ralph Gearhart as engineer in charge and Sig Carlson sub contracting cement work.
