Memorial Day and Commencement Gatherings Across Local Families
Local residents from Dumont, Ankeny, and surrounding towns joined family and friends for Memorial Day visits, weddings, and commencement ceremonies. Attendees included the Henderson, Nielsen, Truelsen, Kerns, Kaiser, and Peterson families with graduates at UNI Ames and other nearby colleges. Social events featured dinners, receptions, ballet recitals, and weekend visits across multiple households in Humboldt, Pocahontas, Altoona, and Des Moines areas.
