The Havelock P T A held its season finale in the school auditorium with many in attendance. Officers were elected with Mrs Byron Lathrop as president and Mrs Floyd Qertley as secretary and chair of May Day committee. A planned May 28 parade and sports day includes a picnic lunch and other events.

Special Election Set for Rolfe Iowa on Ordinance 48 Approval
Rolfe Iowa will hold a town wide special election June 17 1986 at Yahnke Motor Co Garage to decide on Ordinance No 48 granting Central States Electric Company of Cedar Rapids power to construct operate and maintain an electric transmission system through the town. The measure covers street access pavement repairs mayoral control and the grantee liability with costs paid by the grantee. The election is part of a 20 year franchise and voting hours run 8 am to 8 pm.
