Easter Island lies 2000 miles west of Chile with Pitcairn 1400 miles farther west. Though small at 45 square miles and volcanic, scant vegetation exists yet grass grows. Belgian Hare Breeding and Care Standards for Food and Show
The article outlines Belgian hare standards for color and fur, body shape, ears, and conditions for housing and ventilation. It discusses breeding priorities for meat versus show stock, and provides detailed guidance on hutches and indoor setups. It also notes equipment needs and notes about international prisoner labor mentions.
Movable Hutches With Sliding Doors and Ventilation
Outdoor hutches should have sloping roofs and overhanging eaves to shed rain. The screened door may use a wood sliding cover or removable cloth. Small holes near the top provide ventilation. Movable hutches offer advantages for outdoor use and shelter adapts.
