Eldon Obrecht was among about thirty students elected last week to the Iowa Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa, the national honorary scholastic society. The George Jeffries family attended Sunday services at the Plover Methodist Church where Rev. S. T. Grove, the grandfather of Mrs. Jeffries, aged 87, preached. Mrs. William Fisher hosted a Sunday birthday dinner for Mr. Fisher and Mrs. Sam Nicoson. Benny Sharp had her tonsils removed in Fort Dodge on Tuesday.
