Rolfe Council approves library bond sale to Rolfe State Bank
Rolfe Iowa April 20 1954 town council met with all members present to act on a 25000 library bond sale. Sealed bids were opened and the best bid from Becker and Downie Inc at 2.3088 percent was rejected in favor of a 2.4 percent bid from the Rolfe State Bank. The council adopted the resolution to sell the bonds to Rolfe State Bank at 2.4 percent.

A State Leadership Camp Conference will run August 1 to 6 for about 100 older youths to boost county programs. A special Iowa committee will choose scholarship recipients. Retirements noted as Walt Gleason leaves the Chicago Milwaukee St Paul and Pacific railroad after 65 years in Cresco since 1908.
