Garden Notes on Soil and Crop Rotation Practices
Apply only well rotted manure to garden soil to avoid excessive tomato melon cucumber and pepper growth. If soil is acid apply three tons of ground limestone per acre. For potatoes use a 2-8-19 or 4-8-10 fertilizer and rotate crops to reduce diseases. Group long season and perennial crops together and follow short season crops in adjoining rows for succession.
