Pocahontas County Legion Auxiliary meeting and events
The Pocahontas County American Legion Auxiliary met March 20 in Varina with 55 members registered. Twelve past county presidents were honored, including Anna McIntire of Rolfe, with three Rolfe unit members listed. Also noted is a Community Shower for Susan Howland, a surprise Bergeson anniversary party near Plover, a Tuesday Club conservation program, and V F W Auxiliary actions including Scout sponsorship and fund allocations.

Church Services and Birthday Gathering Noted
Sunday services were conducted by Rev Olson with Mrs Olson assisting. Mrs Glenn Gaskill played piano for the singing. A lectern funded by memorial gifts was used for the first time. Friday marked Ralph Maassen’s birthday with cake and ice cream for guests and residents. Ralph received a gift. Hospital Notes: Mrs Ives Barrett and Schon Released
Mrs. Maude Ives has been discharged and is convalescing at Witters Oakwood Manor in Clear Lake. Mrs. Chrystel Barrett leaves hospital for Pocahontas Manor Care Center. Mrs. Jessie Fae Schon returns home Tuesday from Pocahontas hospital where she was a medical patient.
