Fire at Humboldt County Farm Damages Room
About nine o'clock Monday morning a fire was found in a room at the Humboldt County Farm. The alarm spread quickly and firemen arrived from all directions. The woodwork and furnishings were badly burned though the blaze was confined to that room. One inmate was overcome by smoke and required a physician. It is believed the fire started from a match in the hands of a kind inmate. Mrs. W. S. Butler was called to Dubuque last Saturday to attend her father, Ha. Goldthorpe, who is said to be improving.
