Fire destroys Ridotto ballroom near Havelock
Fire of unknown cause torched the Ridotto ballroom at the highway 10 17 junction just east of Havelock Tuesday afternoon, leaving the building a total loss in under 24 hours. C. B. Chapman and Herschel attended girls basketball finals in Des Moines. Mrs. James Cruickshank cared for Mrs Johnson and baby at Fritz Johnson home. Mr and Mrs George Weible and others attended an Eastern Star dinner and school in Gilmore.
