County eyes senior bus service network in nine towns
Pocahontas County considers a countywide bus service for elderly and handicapped with a $33,000 state grant via MIDAS for a 12 to 15 passenger bus and dispatch radio. The network will include Laurens Havelock Pocahontas Varina Fonda Rolfe Plover Palmer and Gilmore City with a six to nine month operational goal. A second year is funded by the City of Pocahontas.

Purchases from Miss Marcums Bequest were authorized including atlases books and equipment with price limits. Senator Bert Priebe announced re election bid for the Iowa Senate Fourth District.
