Mr and Mrs Gary Wolfe traveled Wednesday to Friday for a CCA tour with stops in Coffeyville Kansas and Kansas City Missouri. Sunday Ed Baker took their daughter Geraldine to Pocahontas for a CYO speech contest where she earned I and II ratings.
The Roosevelt township board gathered Monday afternoon at the C. E. Grant home. Marjorie Peterson, employed at Lutheran hospital in Des Moines, visited her mother Mrs. Rachel Spencer and Mr. and Mrs. G. Fred Smith. Mr. and Mrs. C. Fr. Majorowicz celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with open house. A guest, Mrs. George E. Smith, attended the Majorowicz wedding 60 years ago at H. C. Wiegman home. Mrs. W. S. Butler received paintings from Tokyo, including Great Wall of China views in carved reed frames. From Grant's Hee Haw News: White House sink full of dirty dishes. Nearly 750 attended Rolfe Promotion Club's showing of Grand Hotel at the Scenic last Thursday.
A 7 pound boy was born Sunday March 4 to Mr. and Mrs. Wildermmett as a Iowa blizzard raged. Mr. and Mrs. C A Green marked their 32nd wedding anniversary that day but were delayed returning from Cherokee by the storm. Mr. and Mrs. Jess Hosier and Mr. Kenneth Squires hosted the C J Club at the Squires home Friday night.
Rachel Wiegman and Norma Lee Robinson entertained members of Mrs. C. M. Patterson's Sunday School class on Thursday marked date in 1933, sharing stories and refreshments in a community gathering setting.
