Chapter RH met Tas lay afternoon at Mra. M. J. Soth's home. Various officers installed and a bridal shower for Mrs Lawrence Weathman was held. Bridge party at the Jones home honored Mrs C A Sundberg of Minneapolis. Mrs. Wesley Wheeler and son Douglas arrive. Mira Wheeler plans to join later.

Surprise party honors Mrs. Sever son at Lomen home
Eighteen ladies gathered at Mrs. H. E. P. Lomen's house on Thursday for a surprise party for Mrs. Ted Severson. Cheryl Taylor, 11, broke her ankle after slipping on the sun day.

Roads cost Pocoshontons County five thousand in February
A 1929 report shows Pocoshontons County spent about 5000 dollars to keep roads open in February. W. P. Wheeler returned uptown after weeks at home with broken ribs from a fall. Walter Cook helped the G Lee Fisher family move to Town from Minneapolis. Guy G Butler presided at the sheriff’s office while the regular staff was away. Mrs Edgar Cornell and son Donald drove to Des Moines where she entered the M E Hospital for a tonsil operation.

Rolfe Light and Power Sparks Plover Mallard Homes Lighted
Fifty years ago on Thursday March 6 1919 the Rolfe Light and Power Co supplied electricity to Plover and Mallard making the towns bright. W A Hubbel sold ten acres west of town to T H Bailey for 554 per acre and previously paid 350 per acre for twenty acres. H J Turley family moved from Bradgate back to ES Kakrs farm area with plans to resume work. Geo Hauck and Wm Forsyth visited Fort Dodge for eye treatment. George wore one pineer glasses but stalled his car on a big driveway drift on return.

The Lions Club hosted a successful pancake supper and outlined upcoming activities including the Lions Auction Easter Egg Hunt Sunrise Service and Honors Banquet for RES students.
