Golden wedding celebration honors Van Gorkoms and others
A multi generation golden wedding event at a Bradgate Lutheran church honored Isaac Van Gorkom and his wife with their family in attendance. The celebration included siblings and relatives from Gilmore City and nearby areas, a long program of hymns readings and tributes, gifts of gold and linen, and seated photographs in the dining hall. Separately local families moved residences, hosted showers and attended basketball games and weddings, with community notices of hospital births and travel to Des Moines for games.
