Central States Electric Sought Franchise in Pocahontas County
The Iowa State Commerce Commission lists a petition by Central States Electric Company of Cedar Rapids to construct operate and maintain an electric transmission line over and across public and private lands in Pocahontas County Iowa. Pocahontas County Iowa board of supervisors met February 15 1938 in regular session at the courthouse. Present were E A Rude chairman C F Young and Clarence Jensen with no absentees. Actions included tax compromise approval for J F McCreary extension of Henry Earnhardt school loan approved designation of county farm and insurance chairmen and a drainage district 28 re levy hearing adjourned until March 1 1938 after objections were filed. County fund claims were audited and allowed.
