Rolfe Community School notes March arrival in first grade with weather calendar pictures and varied projects. Students make a shamrock tree, weave mats, and craft a bulletin board after Dr Seuss McElligot s Pool. A Breakfast Safari promotes healthy eating with Kellogg materials and team badges.
A wide ranging school update details first and second graders creating stories about Dick Jane and Sally on farms and trips to zoo circus and farm. It notes lessons in birds animals Washington pins portraits and Lincoln birthdays with classroom projects and a "marble craze" during recess. Junior High teams conclude eight games each with Rockets winning eight for boys and two for girls.
Mr and Mrs Glenn Nelson celebrated Mrs Alfred Nelsons birthday at the Alfred Nelson home in Goldfield. Dawn Marie Wolcott was born February 21 in Fort Dodge weighing seven pounds 18 ounces with siblings visiting grandparents during her mother’s absence. Funeral of Mrs Walter Schluter held at Trinity Lutheran church. Best fought victory noted in Gilmore Bradgate games with thanks to coach Mr Jones, bus driver, and cheerleaders Barbie Peterson Susan Bennett Mary Lou Behrendsen and Carla Cruickshank.
