Community program replaces service with play in school auditorium
A Sunday evening program at the school auditorium substituted a play titled Bread for the regular Methodist service. Rev C J Mekkelson led the event with Sanders Orchestra providing music and a trained cast performing the farm life tale. The cast included Dr G A Everson as the father and Mrs J W Arnold as the mother, with other townsfolk portraying family members and neighbors. The production ended with a hopeful family reconciliation and a reading from a Braille Bible. Local headlines note visitors, club meetings, and upcoming Rolfe Chautauqua sessions.

The Other World Beyond The Ocean
A reflective meditation on humanity and the sea comparing land life, ocean realms, and mythical beliefs. It notes the vast ocean, unease about spirits, and the peril of living above or below the earth's atmosphere, hinting at a speculative limit to human reach and understanding.
